"Pay-as-you-sh@#" at 37 Military Hospital

37 MILITARY HOSPITAL FORCE PATIENTS TO PAY FOR TOILET AND BATHROOM SERVICES;

It is now confirmed that out-patients at the 37 Military Hospital in Accra are reportedly paying to use bathroom facilities there.

According to many patients who narrated their various complaints to news men at the hospital, they blame janitors at the hospital who force them to pay before using the bathroom.

One lady told newsmen that her husband spent a week in the hospital and paid 20p and 50p for using the washroom and for taking a bath respectively.

She doesn’t understand why patients have to pay to use washroom especially when they are forced to pay before they are allowed to use the essential facilities. some also said janitors have tampered with the toilet facilities and created their own facilities in other to extort money from needy patients

A number of other patients on admission at the hospital confirmed the story to news men

The hospital authorities and nurses at the hospital blame the current crises in water shortages have contributed to the matter. stay tunned.
