Akufo-Addo Congratulates President Ouattara

On behalf of members of Ghana’s New Patriotic Party (NPP), and my own personal behalf, I join many other Ghanaians and indeed all peoples across the world in congratulating your Excellency, on your successful inauguration as president of Cote d’Ivoire. Despite the regrettable challenges and problems, democracy has triumphed in Cote d’Ivoire and Africa, with your election.

The democratic will of the Ivorian people has finally been respected and I am confident that under your leadership, that great country will see positive transformation. It is also our expectation that under your presidency, Cote d’Ivoire will be restored to its former pre-eminence as an economic force in the Economic Community of West African States, having undergone the process of genuine and sincere national reconciliation to heal the wounds and traumas of the last decade in Cote d’Ivoire.

Ghana and Cote d’Ivoire share a long and enduring relationship, forged over many years under an atmosphere of mutual trust, respect and aspiration. It is my hope that this already strong relation between our two countries will grow even stronger during your period as president of our neighbouring country.
I wish you the best of luck, the Ivorian people a brighter future, and your new government great success.

God bless you,
God bless Cote d’Ivoire
God bless Africa.

……….signed……….
Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo
