Prez Mills Says He Will Use 90M To Complete ....

Sofoline, Madina, Nsawam-Suhum, Achimota-Ofankor Road Projects

His Excellency President John Evans Atta Mills has in a very focused, sturdy, and highly intelligent manner, rubbished and made a complete mockery of Nana Akomea and the NPP for swallowing hook, line, and sinker, the phantom story about the President spending 90m GHC on his re-election campaign.

In an exclusive interview with Radio Gold’s Peter Bamfo and Asempa FM’s Nana Bobiee Ansah, a very hale and hearty President Atta Mills has done well to sink the mischief that Nana Akomea and the NPP tried to play with the untrue 90m story.

Speaking to the two media houses, President Atta Mills said that he has no intention of spending such a colossal amount on his re-election campaign because the delegates know him and are going to vote massively for him.
Indeed, the President made it clear that he does not have that amount of money.
According to the President, if he had such a huge amount, he would spend it on completing the, Kumasi Sofoline, Madina, Achimota-Ofankor and Nsawam-Suhum roads.

President Mills’ answer is a strong pointer to the fact that the President is very focused on his Better Ghana agenda.
To be able to remember the Sofoline, Madina, Suhum, Achimota-Ofankor roads in the midst of all the storm that is brewing, is ample evidence that President Mills is not in the least perturbed by all the empty noises that are being made by Nana Akomea, the NPP, and their media hirelings.
Speaking in a rather lighthearted manner because of the extremely funny and unbelievable nature of the story, President Mills said that if anybody knows where he can lay hands on such an amount, the person should please let him know because he needs funds to complete a lot of projects in Ghana.
“Going round the country on my working visits, in as much as a lot of work is being done, there is still a lot to be done and so it is preposterous for any person/s to believe that I will spend 90m ($60m) on a simple re-election campaign when it is a foregone conclusion that the delegates have already decided to overwhelmingly renew my mandate” Prez Mills said.
“If I am spending this money on the Sunyani congress then when it comes to the national campaign I will have to break the vault of Bank of Ghana wouldn’t I?” President Mills said rhetorically.
It is a known fact that President Mills is not a profligate spender and no attempt at painting such a false picture of the President will work.
All those who are trying very hard to make Ghanaians believe such palpable falsehood, are just wasting their time because right-thinking and well-meaning Ghanaians are not paying any attention to such hogwash!
The 90m GHC figure was first let out by Herbert Mensah, an aide to the Rawlingses; and the NPP decided to jump on it and run as fast as they can with it.
However, as things stand now, Nana Akomea and the NPP have been badly bruised and embarrassed for running with an empty and worthless story.
It is sad that a political party that is hoping to be given the mandate to rule Ghana once again, will believe in a false story and use it as the basis to issue a senseless press statement.
Indeed, President Atta Mills’ focused and firm answer has made the likes of, Nana Akomea, Titus Glover, Mathew Opoku Prempeh, Gabby Otchere-Darko, Mike “Baby Ajasco” Ocquaye and co look like elephants in a circus engaged in circus antics.
“Even mental patients will not believe such a silly story; yet the NPP went ahead to believe it. Are these the people who think we will allow them to once again mismanage and destroy Ghana? They are joking!!” was how an NDC activist summed up his feeling about the irresponsible conduct of Nana Akomea and the NPP.
