Christians should live moderate lifestyles-Rev Tulasi

Ho, Apr. 24, GNA-Reverend James Noble Tulasi, Head Pastor of Jubilee Christian Centre, Ho, on Easter Sunday reiterated the call on Christians to shun materialism and adopt moderate lifestyles just as Jesus Christ did.

He asked them to let their focus be on the Kingdom of God instead of what they would eat, drink or wear. Reverend Tulasi gave the exhortation in an Easter message on the theme, 93The Kingdom of God and its character." He explained that focusing on the Kingdom of God was the only way Christians could have peace and joy and not with material things. He bemoaned the way many people who profess to be Christians were involved in several illegal and criminal activities to acquire wealth and urged them to repent.

The Pastor advised Christians to be truthful, diligent and peaceful in all their dealings so that their 93light" could attract others into the Kingdom of God.

Reverend Tulasi said acts of vengeance and hatred were ungodly and urged Christians to be forgiving. The congregation largely dressed in white, danced and sang praises of Jesus Christ's victory over death some 2,000 years ago. The congregation prayed for the government, the state and for peace to prevail in the sub-region.
