Hero Magazine launched in Accra

Accra, April 2, GNA - A 36-page magazine dubbed:" The Hero Magazine," aimed at informing, inspiring and transforming the minds of readers to believe in their ability to strive for excellence was launched in Accra on Friday.

The monthly publication would focus on personality success stories, career prospects, nutrition, sport, health, fashion, business and motivation.

Launching the magazine, Mr Joel Nettey, Chief Executive Officer of Orgin8 SAATCHI & SAATCHI, called on management of the magazine to exhibit a high standard of professionalism and adhere to the code of ethnics of the media profession.

He said managers of the magazine should not look sight of their editorial principles for which the magazine was established. Mr Nettey urged readers not to read the magazine only for fun but rather look for what benefits it would offer them through the inspiration of some of the personality stories and put in place good marketing and distribution strategies to keep the publication on the newsstand.

Ms Martha Oforiwaa Addo, Editor of the Magazine, said the maiden edition had explored and critically analysed the success stories of three globally acclaimed men including Dr Kofi Annan, former UN Secretary General, Jose' Mourinho, Manager of Real Madrid Football Club and Mark Zuckerberg, the face behind Facebook. "It also directs the reader especially students on career options to help them identify the subjects to read so as to pursue their desired career," she noted.

Ms Addo said the magazine gave concise information on common illness which could develop into major health problems if not prevented or properly treated.

In addition, it has very inspirational articles that serve as a guide to helping readers on their journey to success. "The Hero magazine brings such people closer to you and if you want an inspirational piece or you want to be educated in all life's matters, it is here to serve that purpose and be a true compassion," she said.

She therefore recommended the magazine to students, business men and women, professionals, educationist and politicians. 2 April 11
