A year ago on Saint Valentine’s Day - a day we were supposed to celebrate love and compassion, disaster struck and fire gutted our residence, destroying decades of valuable memoirs.
Shocking and agonising as the disaster was, we were consoled by the overwhelming outpouring of sympathy and love that came from every corner of the country and beyond - from all political, religious and social divides.
Ghanaians and friends across the globe shared the pain of our loss and in true Valentine spirit brought with them kind words of encouragement, love and support in various ways.
On this occasion we wish to first thank the almighty God for guiding us through this trying period and continually blessing us with people of courage and sense of dignity.
Though we cannot wipe away the pain of our loss we have to close the chapter and move on. We however cannot do so without expressing profound gratitude to all who in diverse ways showed us extraordinary support and commiseration. God bless you all.
