Others may not be able to deal.with those scars. I would really advice her to seek counselling preferably from another person she is comfortable with or a person in her shoes she can identify with. Psychological trauma is very difficult to understand because it's not visible and often humans tend to ignore that but it's the worse form of trauma. Did the radio station check her story with the UK police or with family and friends... or can any one come on air and tell a story without the journalist doing background checks to ascertain the validity of the accusations...which are serious and pitiful.
This all played out where... in Ghana or in the UK. In the UK..even back then..social services would have been on this case like fire to coal. School would have reported it too. the audience has not received the full and complete interview therefore we have a fragment of the full truth...I hope she can get some sort of mental help. I just had the initial feeling that this was a cry for attention
