School blocks yet to be completed

Takoradi, Jan 13, GNA - New structures for senior high schools in the Sekondi-Takoradi Metropolis are still under construction and some of the schools have converted their libraries, dining halls and structures into dormitories. Nana Kofi Adjei Imbeah, the Metropolitan Director of Education, told the GNA that most of the six-unit new classroom blocks were still at the foundation level.

He said he was not impressed when he last visited the six schools where new blocks were under construction because most of the structures were either at the foundation level or lintel level. Nana Imbeah said although education remained vital to the human resource development of the country, it was still bedevilled with many constraints.
