The letter from P.V. Obeng’s lawyers is an afterthought on their part. So far, it has been one lie after the other.

P.V. Obeng told the “Mother of All Lies” by saying he bought the house from my father after my father expressed the desire to return to his native Italy. This is utter nonsense because my father had no other home apart from Ghana. He visited Italy for health reasons. There were times he went to Italy with the housemaids and his mistress (who I am happy to call my step-mother) and it was often the case that they stayed in hotels.

He had a villa many years ago but his estranged Italian wife sold it before leaving for the United States. So, he had nothing and had nobody to go to Italy for.

Even when it became clear that he was dying (remember I am a journalist and a nurse as well) he confided in me and said he would actually love to be buried in Ghana and that in the event of his death he would want me, his mistress and the housemaids to immediately inform the Christ the King Parish in Accra. He also said the housemaids could stay in the Ogbojo House for as long as they wished.

My message for him (PV Obeng) is very simple and based on my status as a son of Renato Noce.

HE HAS NOT PRODUCED ANY PROOF OF PURCHASE SO HE HAS NO LEGAL BACKING TO HIS CLAIM TO MY FATHER’S HOUSE. SO, WITH ALL RESPECT AND HUMILITY, I AM ADVISING HIM TO KEEP OFF THE HOUSE. THERE IS, HOWEVER, LEGAL PROOF OF THE 50-YEAR LEASE. THE DOCUMENTS TO THAT EFFECT WERE SIGNED 14 YEARS AGO SO HE HAS TO WAIT FOR 36 MORE YEARS BEFORE THINKING OF ENTERING THE PROPERTY.

And if it is true that he is planning to host a female visitor from overseas in my father’s house during the Christmas period then he has woefully misfired. He had better arrange a different venue for that path.

Furthermore, I hear he is suddenly pretending that he does not remember me any longer. This is pure evil on his part. In any case, he can contact the Italian embassy in Accra for my birth details. That can help him to have me back in his memory.

GONE ARE THE DAYS WHEN POLITICIANS AND SOLDIERS IN GHANA USED THEIR POSITIONS TO ADVANCE THEIR GLUTTONY AND GREED TO DEPRIVE THE DEFENCELESS OF THEIR LITTLE POSSESSIONS WITH IMPUNITY. THE VERY POLITICIANS AND SOLDIERS WHO CHASED MY FATHER OUT OF GHANA IN 1979 WERE THE SAME PEOPLE WHO WERE COMING BACK TO HIS HOUSE SHAMELESSLY IN THE 1990s TO DRINK ALL HIS WINE AND FEAST AT HIS TABLE.

The satanic moves by P.V. Obeng to take over my father’s house prematurely is not helping his image as a former ‘Prime Minister of Ghana’, one time Presidential Advisor on Governmental Affairs and now the Chairman of the National Development Planning Commission.

By his action, he can rightly be described as that man in the Bible who had a flock of 100 sheep but still went ahead to deprive a poor man of his only lamb.

HE MUST STOP GOING TO THE HOUSE BECAUSE THE HOUSEMAIDS FEEL INTIMIDATED BY HIS PRESENCE. HE MUST STOP EXPLOITING MY FATHER’S DEATH AND OUR ABSENCE FROM GHANA TO LAY CLAIM TO THE OGBOJO HOUSE. WHY DID HE DISTANCE HIMSELF FROM THE HOUSE WHEN HE APPEARED BEFORE CHRAJ 14 YEARS AGO AND NOW TURN ROUND SUDDENLY TO SAY HE BOUGHT IT FROM MY FATHER? DOES HE THINK WE ARE STUPID? DOES HE ALSO THINK GHANAIANS ARE SO FORGETFUL?

I would also humbly like to use The New Crusading GUIDE as a medium to reach President Mills and implore his immediate intervention in the matter before it gets to the law courts. The new NDC/Government functionaries I tried to speak to, about this matter, were not very interested in hearing the details.

I believe P.V. Obeng conceived the idea of grabbing the house immediately after my father’s death, thinking none of us will come to Ghana again. He got it all wrong. I better remind him that I was born and bred (circumcised and breastfed) in Ghana. I may be Italian but I am Ghanaian as well, precisely an ‘unrepentant’ native of Ho. So, my stay in Europe is a brief one.

Please, P.V. Obeng, leave us alone in the Ogbojo house.
