Tigo Ghana introduces International remittance

Mobile operator Tigo Ghana announced the launch of an international mobile top-up service, enabling Ghanaians living abroad to top-up the Tigo prepaid phones of their relatives and friends in Ghana. The service has been deployed in partnership with Singapore-based TransferTo, a Global Airtime Remittance Hub. Tigo Ghana Top-Ups will be available at www.transferto.com with payments possible in over 250,000 POS across Europe, Canada and South Africa. The service will also be offered in other regions such as the Gulf countries and the US through TransferTo distribution partners, including POS retailers and partner Mobile Network Operators that offer Phone-to-Phone airtime transfer services.
