Strange crow killed at Takoradi Market Circle

Takoradi,Nov.23,GNA-Drama unfolded at the Takoradi Market Circle on Tuesday morning when a strange crow was whipped and set ablaze by market women and a evangelist who claimed the bird was a medium of someone's witchcraft.

Evangelist Nyame-Akwan of the Christ Healing Power Church and some market women poured "anointing oil" and set the crow on fire amidst prayers and tongue speaking around 11:00 hours on Tuesday.

Speaking to the Ghana News Agency in an interview at the Takoradi Market Circle on Tuesday, Evangelist Nyame- Akwan, said he often comes to the market to preach and pray with some market women.

Evangelist Nyame -Akwan said on one of his daily rounds, he went to the market and prayed with them after God had instructed him to let the market women fast for three weeks as a result of poor sales in recent times. He said while they were praying, a strange crow flew frenziedly from nowhere and entered the stall of a market woman who happened to be one of the women praying at the time.

The evangelist said they were initially frightened but mustered courage and prayed fervently on the bird, which was then sprawling and spinning on the floor grasping for breath.

Evangelist Nyame- Akwan said after the prayers, they held the bird and brought it to the open and poured "anointing oil" on it and set it ablaze with the hope that, the person who sent his or her witchcraft through the bird would die eventually.

The incident attracted a number of onlookers to the place amidst shouts of ayen..ayen.. ayen..(meaning witch.witch...)
