Phone repairer bonded for contract sex

Tarkwa, Nov. 4, GNA - A Tarkwa circuit court had bonded 28- year-old Baba Musah, a mobile phone repairer, to be of good behaviour for 12 months or in default 12 months imprisonment for having sex with another man's wife for a fee of 6,000 Ghana cedis.

He pleaded guilty.

Prosecuting, Detective Chief Inspector Oscar Amponsah told the court that in 2007, Alhaji Tahiru, a businessman, accused Musah of having sexual intercourse with his wife, Sahadatu Labaran.

Inspector Amponsah said the complainant reported the incident to Baba Zakari, 45, a goldsmith and senior brother of Musah to talk to him to stop.

He said Musah told Zakari that it was Alhaji Tahiru who rather contracted him to have sexual intercourse with his wife and impregnate her for a fee of 6,000 Ghana cedis.

Inspector Amponsah said based on this Zakari went to the house of the complainant to inform him of the results but met his absence.

He said when Zakari later told Alhaji Tahiru what his brother had told him the complainant reported a case of assault and both Musah and Zakari were arrested.
