Korea Republic donates to Ministry Foreign

Accra, Oct. 18, GNA - The Government of the Republic of Korea on Monday donated equipment worth 100,000 dollars to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration at a short ceremony in Accra. They included computers and office equipment and accessories. Mr Lee Sang-Hak, Korean Ambassador to Ghana, who presented the items to the Ministry, said the donation was to boost bilateral relations.

The Ministry lost most of its equipment through a fire that razed the main office building last year.

Mr Chris Kpodo, Deputy Foreign Affairs Minister, who received the equipment, appreciated the level of cooperation between the two countries, in terms of technical assistance from the government of the Republic of Korea.

He said this week marks the first anniversary of the fire that destroyed the Foreign Ministry building and expressed his gratitude to Korea for the donation to re-equip it. 18 Oct. 10
