Rajevac pens new Ghana deal

Ghana boss Milovan Rajevac has finally put pen to paper on a new deal with the West African nation.

The Serbian-born mentor has signed a new four-year-deal and will attempt to lead the Black Stars to the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.

Rajevac's mandate is to help the Black Stars qualify for the 2012 and 2013 African Cup of Nations tournaments and the global showpiece in South America.

"Coach Milovan Rajevac has signed the four-year deal and sent it to the GFA. Both sides are fully satisfied," the Ghana FA told Ghanasoccernet.

Rajevac has been in demand since leading Ghana to the quarter-finals of the 2010 FIFA World Cup, where they eventually ended up losing on penalties to Uruguay.

The Serbian national team, Saudi Arabian outfit Al Ahly and Al Sadd of Qatar all declared their interest in the former Red Star Belgrade manager.

However, Rajevac, who has been in charge of Ghana for two years, has opted to remain with the African giants.

Ghana face Swaziland on September 5 in the first of their 2012 African Cup of Nations qualifiers.
