Face Of Tertiary 2009 Represents Ghana On World Stage

Jasmine Seyram Akortsu, who is the Face of Tertiary 2009, will represent Ghana at the World Miss University pageant in Seoul, South Korea.

Face of Tertiary is a beauty pageant organized for all the beauty queens in the various tertiary institutions in Ghana to unearth an icon to help in the fight against child labour in Ghana and also represent Ghana at the World Miss University pageant.

The World Miss University pageant brings together over 48 beauty queens from the various parts of the world to represent universities in their countries.

The winner would become a United Nations World Peace ambassador. The event is scheduled for 8th August, 2010, at Seoul, South Korea.

Jasmine is a level 200 ACCA student of Zenith University College and she doubles as Face of Zenith 2009. As the official ambassador of anti-child labour in Ghana, she is working on her television project dubbed ‘Save a Child’, which focuses on the reduction of child labour in Ghana.

For her prize as Face of Tertiary 2009, she drove home a brand new Proton saloon car from Platinum Motors, a monthly allowance and represents Ghana at World Miss University.

The elegant, industrious and intelligent Face of Tertiary believes it is proper for her to also promote global peace, since conflicts and wars are factors that contribute to child labour.

Ghana’s representative to the World Miss University has assured all Ghanaians of a great performance and seeks the support of all.

According to Albert Opoku-Frimpong, CEO of Brein Consult, the Organisers of Face of Tertiary, the company is determined to help fight child labour in Ghana and appealed to corporate institutions to support projects and programs that lead to the reduction of child labour in Ghana.

The next edition of Face of Tertiary is scheduled for 5th November 2010 and the winner will get a brand new saloon car, monthly allowance and represent Ghana at the World Miss University pageant.
