Rajevac denies 60,000 Euros price tag

Accra, July 9, GNA - Ghana Black Stars head coach, Milovan Rajevac has denied claims in sections of the media that he is demanding 60,000 Euros from the Ghana Football Association (GFA) before extending his stay with the team.

"I have not made any demand like that. It is a notorious lie and must not be considered". The coach said through his translator at a press conference in Accra on Friday.

He said he has been discussing his contract with the GFA but no amount or figure has been mentioned in the transaction and wondered where the information is coming from.

Coach Rajevac, however, conceded that he has received offers from Clubs and other countries but declared emphatically that "Ghana is my priority".

The coach said he has an existing contract with the Ghana Football Association (GFA), which will expire in August, but noted that he will consider an option to coach Ghana first before any other choice.

The Serbian gave assurances of keeping his job with the Black Stars since discussions have not been concluded.

Kwesi Nyantakyi, President of the GFA said the Association is impressed with the performance of the coach and will want an extension of his contract but indicated that it will be of a mutual concern.

He was, however, confident the coach will accept the proposal of the GFA to extend his stay adding that, "if there is no consensus, then there may be another way out".

Coach Rajevac has in recent times been linked with jobs in Qatar, Nigeria and Cote D'Ivoire following the impressive performance of the Black Stars at the 2010 FIFA World Cup in South Africa.
