Sacked Minister ‘Squats’ In Gov’t Bungalow!

Former Deputy Minister of Energy, Dr. Kwabena Donkor is an unlawful tenant! The man who was booted out of office by President Mills when he reshuffled his Cabinet earlier this year still occupies his bungalow, nearly four months after he was kicked out of office!

Ironically, the unlawful tenant lives right after Nana Ohene Ntow’s former bungalow, who himself was accused of squatting in a government bungalow for 96 months at the blind side of Ghanaians and slapped with a cost of GH¢96,000 at the instigation of Deputy Works Minister Hannah Bissiw!

Dr. Donkor whose house is after that of the Director of Bureau of National Investigations (BNI) has a private security-man in a yellow and blue uniform sitting permanently in front.

When contacted for comments, the once prolific energy expert in opposition said ‘I still work for government…… I still work for the government!’.

When asked in what capacity he works for the government he stated ‘I won’t tell you’

He continued that “you can write whatever you want to write; I still work for government…… I still work for the government but you can write whatever you want to write.”

He rather the tasked reporter to cross-check with the Ministry of Water Resources, Works and Housing to ascertain what he does for government.

“You can check out with the ministry of Works and Housing and they would tell you I still work for government,” he said.

All calls placed on the phone of the Deputy Minister of Water Resources, Works and Housing, Hannah Bissiw never yielded any positive results.

On the two occasions the reporter got through, the Minister’s secretary said her boss was in a meeting and would prompt the Minister to return the call immediately but it never happened twenty-four hours after those calls were placed!
