Catholic Priest admonishes Christians to eschew negative tendencies

Essikado (Takoradi) April 4, GNA - The Reverend Father Anthony Eshun, of Saint Theresa Catholic Church at Essikado in Takoradi, on Sunday admonished Christians to use the Easter season to turn away from negative attitudes to uplift their lives, to reflect positively in society and the nation.

In an Easter message, he asked Ghanaians not to be demoralized in the face of difficulties no matter the circumstance, because there is solution to every problem.

He urged them to emulate Christ Jesus, who went through sufferings but finally resurrected to safe mankind. He said Jesus' resurrection should rather serve as an inspiration for people to show love and kindness to the needy and poor, by supporting them materially and financially.

Rev. Fr. Eshun noted that the favourite white clothing worn on Easter signify pure hearts and this must reflect in Christians relationships with their neighbours. He urged them to live in harmony by accommodating one another to ensure peace all the time.
