Central Regional NDC Chairman cautioned supports against lawlessness

Cape Coast, April 3, GNA - The Central Regional Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Mr Samuel Kweku Adu-Yeboah, has cautioned supporters of the party to desist from lawless activities. Speaking to the Ghana News Agency, Mr Adu-Yeboah who is a lawyer, expressed concern about the upsurge of lawlessness among the youth who claimed to be supporters of the party.

"The NDC is a discipline party, so its followers must also be discipline," the lawyer pointed out.

Mr Adu-Yeboah endorsed the order given to the law enforcing agency by=

President John Evans Atta Mills to arrest and prosecute any trouble maker=

irrespective of his or her party affiliations.

He cautioned that the party would not come to the aid of any supporte= r arrested for misbehaving especially those arrested for leading mob attack= .. The Regional NDC Chairman advised leaders of other parties to sound a=

note of caution to their members on the directives of the President in or= der not to politicise any arrest that might be made.

Mr Adu-Yeboah said that no government in any part of the world could employ all jobless people within 15 months of coming to power. He said the government of the New Patriotic Party could not employ al= l its followers within the eight years that they stayed in office. He cautioned people who wanted to use unemployment to take government= to task to stop it before the law caught up with them.

The government, he said, needs a peaceful atmosphere to be able to fi= x the numerous problems facing the country, and therefore urged the distracters to stop the agitation and allow government to focus.
