Congestion at Ejisu branch of GCB

Ejisu, March 27, GNA - Customers of the Ejisu branch of the Ghana Commercial Bank (GCB) are complaining about what they say is the, congestion at its banking hall and are demanding that more space is created. Some of them have threatened to stop transacting business with the bank if the inconvenience, they are forced to endure, does not stop. The banking hall is so small that it is unable to accommodate even 20 customers at a time.

Mr Augustine Ntim Boadu, one of the customers, who spoke to the Ghana News Agency (GNA), said apart from the problem with space, there are also no emergency exit points. He said it was in the bank's own interest to act quickly to improve the situation.

The Ejisu branch of the GCB has more than 1000 customers. The GNA gathered that the bank has been operating from the current premises for the past 30 years. Some of the workers of the bank, who did not want their names mentioned, said the claims by the customers were valid but pleaded with them to exercise patience while a solution is found to the situation. 27 March 10
