Black's Secret make-up products to be launched in GhanaTheir development follows an extensive research which ensures that the products are manufactured under the best technologically proven conditions to make them suitable to the prevailing weather conditions on the continent. Mr Benard Kingsley Annoh, Chief Executive and Managing Director of the Berlin Investments Limited, said this to the Ghana News Agency during a workshop to educate make-up artists on the uses and applications of the products in Accra. It was to equip the participants with the requisite knowledge on the application of the products to enable them to correctly use them on their clients. Mr Annoh said African women deserved better, hence the development of the Black's Secret make-up brand. He said most of the products on the market did not reflect the true skin beauty of African women but rather presented them with various complications, the reason Black's Secret brands were developed to reverse the trend. He said the company did not compromise on delivering quality products to protect the skin adding that the products offered luxury, protection and style that would make the women go about their everyday activities with confidence. "After all, make-up is to cover up imperfections and bad spots on the face to make it appealing and that's exactly what our products offer," Mr Annor said. He said the company had instituted a monthly workshop platform to educate women of all levels on the uses and application of the products for maximum protection. Mr Annoh said with its range of highly-tested brands, the company was poised to compete with other market players who were mostly foreigners. Mrs Renne Q. Boateng, a Professional Make-up Artist and Instructor, who took the participants through lessons on make-up, said it was important that the right products were used to enhance one's beauty. She said many women did not know how to apply make-ups correctly and thereby misapplied the chemicals which resulted in skin complications. Mrs Boateng advised that people should correctly use the right products to maintain their natural skin and beauty. Meanwhile, the company is also working to launch skin care products such as lotion, moisturizers and toning, among others, to cater for all persons.
