Ghana@50 anniversary lectures to be launched

Accra, Oct. 16, GNA - The Golden Jubilee lectures held from January to December 2007 have been put together, edited and published as Ghana@50 Anniversary Lectures and would be launched on Tuesday, October 27. According to Professor Kwame Gyekye, Editor of the book, the launch of the 442-page book would be at the British Council Hall at 1700 hours. Prof. Gyekye said the book would be launched by Nana Susubiribi Krobea Asante, Omanhene of Asante Asokore, former President of the Ghana Academy of Arts and Sciences.

Mr G.F. Daniel, former Registrar of the University of Ghana, would present a review of the book.

Mr Alex Tettey-Enyo, Minister of Education, would be the Special Guest of Honour while the Chairperson for the occasion would be Professor Naana Jane Opoku-Agyeman, Vice-Chancellor of the University of Cape Coast.
