Ghanaian selected as the Official Designer for Miss Black America Beauty Pageant

In a brief conversation with 3G to share her excitement about the project, Afua Sam said she had been working very hard and being more creative to become one of the best in the world. She stated she knows where she grew up and how far she has come and is forever grateful to God. Afua Sam is an international fashion designer who was one of the featured Designers for the Presidential Inaugural Fashion Show presented by DC Fashion Week. She also featured at the HipHop Inaugural Ball and Crystal Couture Fashion Show. She was a guest at the launching of BET International where she met BET President; Deborah Lee.

Afua Sam believes in giving and as part of her corporate social responsibility participated in "Step to the Cure for Breast Cancer Awareness. She said she hopes being a designer for Miss America 2010 would inspire many young Ghanaians who aspire in the area of Fashion Design. She advised them to always have faith in God and stay focused on what they want to do. With God all things are possible.
