She stated she knows where she grew up and how far she has come and is forever grateful to God. Afua Sam is an international fashion designer who was one of the featured Designers for the Presidential Inaugural Fashion Show presented by DC Fashion Week. She also featured at the HipHop Inaugural Ball and Crystal Couture Fashion Show. She was a guest at the launching of BET International where she met BET President; Deborah Lee. Afua Sam believes in giving and as part of her corporate social responsibility participated in "Step to the Cure for Breast Cancer Awareness. She created unique pieces for 5 cancer survivors who modeled in her designs during the annual benefit.
