Gold mining company awards its workers

Bogoso (W/R), Aug 18, GNA - Mr. Edward Ansah, the Acting Human Resource and Administrative Manager of Golden Star Resources Limited, has appealed to Ghanaians to reaffirm their commitment and loyalty to their work.

"This would improve the socio-economic development of country", he said at an awards ceremony of Golden Star Resources Limited at Bogoso in the Western Region on Monday.

Twenty-three workers were awarded with certificates and table top fridges for their continuous service to the company. Mr. Ansah expressed gratitude to the workers for their hard work and dedication and urged them to work extra hard to improve the company's performance in the coming year. He told workers who did not win any awards to emulate the example of the award winners and also exhibit their skills and improve their performance.

Mr. Collin Connors, Acting General Manager of the company, congratulated the workers for their meaningful contribution to the development of the company.

"We appreciate your continuous commitment and the intelligence you have exhibited towards your work," he said. Mr. Stephen Mensah spoke on behalf the recipients and thanked management for recognising their hard work and said "the award will motivate us to work harder and win more awards."
