The event, which is being organised in collaboration with the African Community of Arts Educators (AfriCOAE) in the US, would attract participation from Hungary, USA, UK, Uganda, Nigeria and Cameroon. The programme, which will be on the theme: "The Kumasi Symposium: Tapping Local Resources for Sustainable Education through Art" is scheduled to take place on July 31 to August 14. It is a follow-up to "Project Earth to Art" workshop that took place in Accra in 2008. Briefing the Ghana News Agency (GNA) on Wednesday in Kumasi, Nana Afia Amponsaa Opoku-Asare, Head of Department said the issues to be discussed include Art education, Studio Practice, Arts Administration/Management/Marketing Practice, environmental issues in artistic practice and best practices and programmes.
