Marshallans donate generator to Funsi Parish

Funsi (UWR), June 30, GNA - The Knights and Ladies of Marshall Councils from Wa and Kaleo in the Upper West Region have donated an electric generator valued at 500 Ghana Cedis to the Funsi Parish in the Wa East District to help promote the daily activities of the Parish. They have also presented assorted items and cash totalling 321 Ghana Cedis for the upkeep of the Priests working in the Parish, who have no access to basic facilities including electricity and potable water.

Presenting the items, the Grand Knight for the Kaleo Council, Brother Valentine Domapielle, said the gesture was in fulfilment of the Marshallan pledge of unity, charity and fraternity. He said the Marshallans empathized with the Priests who are working under challenging conditions to develop the Parish and win more souls for Christ.

Receiving the items, the Parish Priest, The Rev. Father Sylvester Domayele, thanked the Marshallans for the gesture and assured them that they would put the generator to good use to enhance the growth and development of the Parish. The Rev. Father Domayele said despite the deplorable conditions of the Parish, he and his colleagues were determined to reverse the trend and ensure the rapid development of the Parish. He said he was happy that the request for support from benevolent organisations had started yielding dividends, and urged other Catholic organisations to emulate the Marshallans.
