International Artists' workshop endsThe two-week workshop was on theme; "hands on art community, collaboration or commodity?" SaNsa is part of the family of Triangle Artists' workshops founded by Robert Loder, a British Patron of the Arts and the British Sculptor Anthony Caro. The Triangle workshops started in New York in 1982 to give artists the opportunity for uninterrupted periods of time in which to work along side artists from around the world. It generally encourages individual artists to extend the possibilities of expression and experiment through both conventional and unconventional media by making use of local materials innovatively. Mr Opoku-Manu expressed the hope that the workshop will take note of the fallouts in the nation's cultural practices that needed to be refined to fall in line with civilized global practices. He commended the Centre for National Culture and their allied sponsors for making the programme a success and hoped they would encourage such workshops to build the capacity of artists.
