Equity Assurance supports Otumfuo's Education Fund

Kumasi, May 17, GNA - The Management of Equity Assurance Limited, an insurance company in Kumasi, at the weekend presented a cheque for GH¢2,500 towards the Otumfuo's Education Fund at the Manhyia Palace in Kumasi.

Alhaji Abdala Muntaka, Manager of the company, who presented the cheque, said the presentation formed part of the social responsibility of the company. He said the company appreciates the efforts being made by Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, the Asantehene to support education and others to improve the lives of Ghanaians.

Alhaji Muntaka assured that similar donations would be made by the company as its widow's mite towards the fund in future. The Manager used the opportunity to remind the public about the activities and programmes of the company and asked the people to patronize the office on all matters relating to insurance and others. Oheneba Yaw Okyere, Executive Secretary of the Otumfuo Education Fund, who received the gift, thanked the company for the gesture. He appealed to individual philanthropists, churches and organizations to donate either in cash or kind towards the Otumfuo's Education Fund.
