Minister inspects projects

Asiwa (Ash), April 4, GNA - Mr. Kofi Opoku-Manu, the Ashanti Regional Minister, has inspected some government projects in the region. The visit was to assess the stage of projects and also put contractors on their toes to ensure early completion of the projects.

Mr. Opoku-Manu inspected the 36.2-kilometre road from Bomfa junction on the main Kumasi/Accra highway to Asiwa which is being executed by Ussuya (Gh.) contractors The Minister, who had earlier inspected the dualisation of the Accra/Kumasi Highway, Fumesua/Ejisu Duampompo portion and the 16.5-kilometre Konongo/Praso roads, expressed satisfaction with progress of work.

Mr. Opoku-Manu also inspected some Ghana Education Trust Fund (GETfund) projects in some second cycle Schools.

These included the three-storey girls' dormitory for Bonwire Senior High School (SHS), Juaben SHS in the Ejisu Municipality and Asiwa SHS in the Asiwa District.

He also inspected the two-storey Information, Communications and Technology (ICT) Centre at Juaben and later paid a courtesy call on Juabenhene, Nana Otuo Serebuo.
