Surrender diplomatic passports - Ministry

Accra, Jan. 17, GNA - The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Regional Integration and NEPAD on Saturday directed that all holders of Ghana Diplomatic and Service Passports should surrender them to the Chief Director. A statement issued and signed by Ms. Georgina Djameh, Acting Director, Information and Linguistics Bureau of the Ministry on behalf of the Chief Director said it was in the process of reviewing the issuance of such passports.

It said all holders of such passports, except former President and Spouse, former Vice President and Spouse, all members of the Ghana Diplomatic Service, including Current Heads of Missions and their spouses and Ghanaians in the employment of International Organizations were to comply with the directive.

The statement said failure to comply with the directive would result in the cancellation of all such passports.
