CPP Constituency Chairmen’s National Council Press Release

PRESS STATEMENT

At a just ended consultative meeting of the CPP Constituency Chairmen’s National Council, a resolution was passed by majority vote that whilst we respect the Central Committee’s decision not to commit the Party to supporting either the NDC or NPP in the December 28th run-off, we the Constituency Chairmen after interacting with the grassroots membership and judging from their general mood for change throughout the country, we find ourselves unable to agree with the decision taken by the leadership of the Party .

Our main reason is that the CPP campaigned on the need for change, and since both the CPP and the NDC had been at one about the need for change, it is logical that the CPP should support the NDC to achieve the mutually desired change.

We are accordingly and respectfully calling upon not only CPP voters but the other smaller Parties and all uncommitted voters who might not have voted on 7th December but who see the need for change to join hands in voting for Professor John Atta-Mills for the change Ghana needs.
