Nduom rides in made in Ghana limousine

Accra, Sept. 5, GNA- Dr. Paa Kwesi Nduom, Flag bearer of the Convention People's Party (CPP) as a demonstration of his talk of riding in a presidential car manufactured in Ghana when given the mandate to become the next president Wednesday took a ride in Apostle Kwadwo Safo Kantanka's limousine, labelled Obrepon.

After a five-minute ride in the vehicle and full of excitement, Dr Nduom, who was on a familiarization tour of Apostle Safo's factory at Gomoa Mpota in the Central region, praised Apostle Safo for the innovation, saying, "It was an exciting ride and I would wish to own one".

He further challenged him (Apostle Kwadwo Safo) to ensure that his outfit produces a presidential limousine within a period of two years when he assumes the reins of government.

"As soon as you see that I am in power note that you have two years to manufacture a limousine for my use", Dr Nduom told Apostle Safo.

Among those who accompanied him on the tour was his wife, Mrs Yvonne Nduom, Dr Kweku Osafo, a leading member of the party, Mr Richmond Lamptey, the Campaign Manger and Mr Richmond Keelson, the Communications Director.

According to Dr Nduom, a CPP government with him at the helm of affairs would offer people like Apostle Safo and his team of engineers' financial and technical assistance, and tax incentives to enable them expand their industrial activities to the full benefit of the country. "What a CPP government will do is to come to an organization like this and many others in the country and provide technical and financial supports with tax incentives to enable you expand your industrial operations", Dr Nduom stressed.

He said such support was important to enable Apostle Safo to upgrade his camp to become a bigger training institute that could undertake the mass production of the things he produced, in order to offer jobs to a significant number of unemployed youth in the country.

Expressing his pleasure at what he had seen at the camp, Dr Nduom commended Apostle Safo for his vision and sense of urgency to produce cars and other electrical gadgets in the country. He said that Apostle Safo's feat was a clear testimony of the fact that Ghana could develop to where countries like Korea and Singapore were today.

Apostle Safo thanked Dr Nduom for his gesture to visit him and explained that his efforts are to assist the youth in the country. He however called for the need for parties contenting in the forthcoming elections to do away with things that will lead to conflict, and rather seek for the welfare of the country. "The flag bearers in this year's parliamentary and presidential elections must ensure that they conduct clean campaigns to avoid conflicts since we are all seeking for the welfare of the citizenry of this country", Apostle Safo said.

Among the facilities toured by Dr Nduom and his team were the Electronic Department, where they were shown some of the home appliances like home theatres, computers and televisions, which were all made by Apostle Safo. The CPP flag bearer was also conducted around the Car Manufacturing Section where he saw cars being assembled.
