Accra bourse opens week on positive note

Accra, March 3, GNA - The Ghana Stock Exchange opened on a positive note on Monday with the main index, the GSE All-Share Index, moving up 8.25 points to close at 7,013.54 points from 7,005.29 points. Shares traded fell to 507,400 shares, a drop from a high of 1.7 million shares recorded on Friday.

Change year to date now stands at 6.27 per cent.

On the broader market, seven equities saw price appreciations. Ayrton Drug Manufacturing Limited gained GH¢0.01 at GH¢0.14, Benso Oil Palm Plantation went up GH¢0.02 to close GH¢ 0.50, Enterprise Insurance Company was up GH¢0.01 at GH¢1.70 and Fan Milk Limited went up GH¢0.01 to close at GH¢2.71. Other gainers were SG-SSB with GH¢0.01 at GH¢1.36, Total was up GH¢0.02 at GH¢5.53 and UNIL went up GH¢0.01 to close GH¢ 2.17. Market capitalisation rose at GH¢13,431.95 million, up from GH¢13,426.32 million on close of Friday.
