Domestic Air Shuttle For Can 2008

Afritel Ghana Limited yesterday launched a special air shuttle package for soccer fans who would be shuttling between the three hosting cities to watch the Africa Cup of Nations which kick-starts on January 20.

Afritel Ghana Limited as part of their package, will also arrange for a free shuttle bus service to and from the stadium for the hurried passengers.

The Chief Executive Officer of the Company, Nana Richmond Aggrey, at the launch, said the service would provide a perfect opportunity for those who would like to shuttle between all the venue cities to enjoy their favourite matches.

The Minister for Tourism and Diasporean Relations, Mr Stephen Asamoah Boateng, commended Afritel for such a service and added that it would enable foreigners in particular to explore the tourism potential of the country.

The Chairman of the Local Organizing Committee (LOC), Dr. Kofi Amoah was optimistic that the service will help complement the transportation needs of the fans and help stage a well-watched tournament.
