Million Hungry Children & Families to be Fed

...........newly refurbished Rex Cinema Auditorium is the venue

????Saturday, January 26, 2008 is the date Ghana, Accra (20:13 GMT, 23rd January, 2008) ? This weekend, over 1,000,000 Hungry Children and Families in and around the Accra Metropolis will be provided with food, clothing and other necessities.

Feed Hungry Children & Families is a project aimed at providing food, clothing and other necessities to needy Children and families who lack the much needed essentials to live due to poverty in their communities. The Feed Hungry Children & Families project is the nonprofit arm of BrassRing Media Network.

BrassRing Media Network, is a media organization in the area of Industrial Researching, Marketing, Public Relations, International Youth Exchange Programs and Radio and Television Syndication programs in Africa, through Ghana and in the United States (for young people).

BrassRing saw the need to Feed Hungry Children & Families around some cities and rural areas in Ghana who are in desperate need of food, clothing and other necessities due to a broken or halted economic engine or machine in families culminating into abject poverty, during one of its philanthropic visits to some homes and families in the Dambge districts, Volta region, Central, Western, Tamale, and the Greater Accra regions.

Sometime Children in disasters wreaked communities become victims to hunger and abject poverty; no fault of them, and their families had to get their lives back to what we call normal day living. (code; 1 ? 0 ? 1, 0-1-1, 0-0-1, 1-0-0 or sometimes, 0-0-1/2) this is what BrassRing termed as the poverty feeding codes in these communities).

For the purposes of this project, the poverty feeding codes for this write up are as follows; Mornings, Afternoons and Evenings for daily meals. Basically, human beings are fed three times each day. If for some reasons or circumstances, families are unable to feed themselves under the ?normal economic code? which are three times daily (1-1-1) and eat mornings and evenings only, their poverty feeding code here is 1-0-1. Families who eat only in the evenings, has its poverty feeding code as 0-0-1).

?It?s unfortunate that in these times little children are the ones who suffer the most from these problems, and they are the ones most desperately in need of help? says Ibrahim Tanko, Feed Hungry Children & Families Project Coordinator . Mr. Ibrahim Tanko reiterated BrassRing Media Network efforts through Feed Hungry Children & Families Project shall in the near future provide assistance to some orphanages, schools, and other charitable organizations in Ghana.

?We are calling on the WORLD to join BrassRing and help feed hungry children and families in the Accra Metropolis and beyond come this Saturday!,? ?The little and generous support can Feed the Children and will help BrassRing put back smiles that have eluded these hungry children? said the Project Coordinator. In Accra alone, over 1,200,000 children are living in poverty and struggling with hunger. Many of these boys and girls go to bed hungry every night, wishing they had something to fill their stomachs.

This year?s Feed the Hungry Children & Families Project is supported by Choice Fm, Channel R, Daily express newspaper, Jive, Vibe Fm, Wokinn Chinese Restaurant, Primex Ghana Limited (Manufactures of Pomo and Jargo products), The Chef Restaurant, philanthropists, Youth Crime Watch of Ghana, Youth Crime Watch of America.

The newly refurbished Rex Cinema auditorium in Accra will be the venue to host this year?s New Year party dubbed Feed Hungry Children & Families program, which is slated for Saturday, 26th January 2008. One of BrassRing?s special initiatives to Feed Hungry Children in Ghana will be launched soon as ?The Kids Caf? On Wheels". It?s an initiative with the anticipation of being the nation's largest free meal service programs for children and provides nutritious food to hungry children in safe and nurturing environments.
