Rally of five equities pushes up GSE All-Share Index

Accra, Jan. 16, GNA - A rally of five equities on Wednesday pushed the Ghana Stock Exchange All-Share Index, the main market indicator, up by 6.33 points to close trading at 6670.67 points despite a GH=A2 0.0100 loss by one equity.

Change year to date now stands at 1.07 per cent while the volume of traded share was 186,100 shares, with Benso Oil Palm Plantation (BOPP) and Ghana Oil Company Limited (GOIL) selling 79,000 shares and 77,500 shares, respectively.

On the broader market, there were five positive and one negative price changes. BOPP lost GH=A2 0.0100 to close trading at GH=A2 0.4800. SG-SSB Limited went up by GH=A2 0.0289 to close trading at GH=A2 1.3000; Ecobank Ghana Limited (EBG) gained GH=A2 0.0004 at GH=A2 2.1726; CAL was richer by GH=A2 0.0002 at GH=A2 0.4581; while Unilever got GH=A2 0.002 to close at GH=A2 2.1202 with Fan Milk Limited also going up by GH=A2 0.0001 at GH=A22.2401 Market capitalisation went up to GH=A2 12,412.09 million from GH=A2 12,408.21 million.
