Rally of six equities pushes up GSE All-Share Index

Accra, Jan. 14, GNA - A rally of six equities on Monday pushed the Ghana Stock Exchange All-Share Index, the main market indicator, up by 7.56 points to close trading at 6663.46 points from 6655.90 points on Friday.

Change year to date now stands at 0.96 per cent while the volume of traded share was 66,500 shares, with Ghana Oil Company Limited (GOIL) selling 35,200 shares.

On the broader market, there were six positive price changes. The Standard Chartered Bank (SCB) led the pack with GH=A2 0.1000 gain to close at GH=A2 26.1000; GOIL went up by GH=A2 0.0100 to close at GH=A2 0.3100; Ecobank Ghana Limited (EBG) gained GH=A2 0.0045 at GH=A2 2.1700; two banking equities, CAL Bank and SG-SSB Limited went up by GH=A2 0.0001 each to close trading at GH20.4576 and GH=A2 1.2701, respectively; while Guinness Ghana Breweries Limited (GGBL) also went up by GH=A2 0.0001 to close GH=A2 1.2327. Market capitalisation was GH=A2 12,407.67 million.
