US companies to start drilling for oil

Ghana expects exploration companies including Houston-based Vanco Energy Co. to begin drilling for oil after two discoveries off the country's coast since June, Ghana National Petroleum Corp. Managing Director Moses Oduro Boateng said. Ghana now produces less than 1,000 barrels of oil a day.
