Toyota opens new outlet at Tarkwa

Samahuu (W/R), July 14, GNA - Toyota Ghana Limited on Saturday inaugurated its third ultra-modern office at Samahuu near Tarkwa in the Western Region. The other two outlets are in Accra and Kumasi.

The facility has a workshop and a spare parts inventory house with well-trained skilful staff.

In an address read on behalf of Mr Jurgen Eijgendaal, Managing Director, Ghana Manganese Company, commended Toyota for opening a branch at Tarkwa, a hub in the mining industry in line with its decentralization policy to bring its services to the doorstep of its customers.

He said Toyota had identified the needs of its customers to serve them better, adding that, "the edifice makes Toyota market oriented".

Mr Eijgendaal, who is also the President of Ghana Chamber of Mines, said with Toyota's long association with mining companies the proximity of the outlet would contribute to "a boom in business". The latest Toyota model, Land Cruiser 70, was launched at the ceremony.

Mr. Johan Botha, General Manager Goldfields Ghana Limited Tarkwa Mine, who launched the new vehicle, said it had earned the title, "King of 4 wheel drives" because its performance and reliability had become a legend. Earlier in a welcome address, Mr Masato Kimata, Managing Director of Toyota Ghana, said the facility was to serve the mining community, adding that, the facility would not only provide first class maintenance and repair service but advisory service as well to ensure the long life of Toyota vehicles. 14 July 07
