GSE All-Share index climbs in quiet market

Accra, July 6, GNA - The GSE All-Share index, the benchmark measure of the Accra bourse, climbed in quiet trading that saw six equities making gains.

The index gained 11.07 points at 5,322.92 points from 5,311.85 points while volumes that changed hands slumped to 82,000 from 1,021,800 shares on Thursday.

Change Year to date now stands at 6.33 per cent.

There were five positive price changes.

CAL Bank gained 0.0013 GH cedis at 0.2736 GH cedi, Ecobank Ghana was 0.0010 GH cedis at 1.4540 GH cedis, SG-SSB was 0.0005 GH cedis better at 0.82255 cedis, Ghana Commercial Bank was better by 0.0002 GH cedis at 0.6810 GH cedis, Ecobank Transnational gained 0.0050 GH cedis at 1.1650 GH cedis while Guinness Ghana Limited also picked up 0.0002 GH cedis at 0.9562 GH cedis.

Market capitalization ended the session at 11,491.52 million GH cedis from Thursday's 11,484.89 million GH cedis.
