Pastoral work is not money-making place

Mankessim (C/R), June 12, GNA-The Parish Priest in-charge of the Mankessim Saint Paul's Catholic Church, Rev. Father Joseph K. Mouchi has reminded priests and other church leaders that pastoral work is not a money-making institution.

He, in the regard, urged them not to be money minded, but endeavour to give account of every pesewa that comes their way to win the trust and confidence of the congregation.

Rev. Father Mouchi gave the advice at a send-off-church service organised by the parish in honour of Rev. Anthony Boakyi Afrifa, an acolyte from the Saint Peters Seminary in Pedu near Cape Coast who understudied administration and practical preaching at the parish. Rev. Afrifa expressed his appreciation to the people in the parish particularly, Rev. Mouchi and thanked him for his teachings, which he said, had given him insight of the profession.

He said the experience gained would be of great value to him in his pastoral duties.
