Agricare Limited installs new feed mill plant

Tanoso (Ash), May 18, GNA - The management of Agricare Limited, producers of feed concentrates and mash for poultry products in the country has installed a new feed mill plant at its factory at Tanoso near Kumasi.

The new plant, manufactured by Messrs Buhiler AG of Switzerland, was jointly financed by the Barclays Bank and the company at a cost of 22 billion cedis.

Mr Seth Bekoe Appeadu, Managing director of the company told the Ghana News Agency during a visit to the company's factory on Thursday. He said the equipment which is fully-automated and computerized, has a capacity of 10 tones per hour and highly efficient paddle mixer that ensures uniform mixing to cater for the needs of poultry, livestock and aquaculture.

Mr Appeadu said the company was in consultation with the Council for Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR), Water Research Institute (WRI) and Animal Research Institute (ARI) to ensure the smooth take-off of the project.

He commended the company's Board of directors for its instrumentality and support for the installation of the plant.
