Government reduce prices of Fertilizer

Accra, May 11, GNA - Government, in collaboration with the Ghana Cocoa Board on Friday announced the reduction of the prices of granular and foliar fertilizers for cocoa farmers.

A statement signed by Mr. Anthony Fofie, Acting Chief Executive of the Ghana Cocoa Board said the price of Granular Fertilizer had been reduced from 220,000 cedis per bag to 147,300 while the price of Foliar Fertilizer had been reduce from 220,000 to 147,300 per litre. It advised farmers to buy the fertilizers at the reduced prices to increase production.

The statement said fertilizers were available at Cocoa Input Company stores and other outlets at cocoa stations of the Seed Production Unit (SPU).
