GSE All-Share index edges up

Accra, April 19, GNA - The GSE All-Share index, the benchmark measure, inched up in another quiet trading on Thursday with six equities making marginal gains.

Traded shares were weak at 56,100 but more than double Wednesday's volume of 24,200.

The index closed 0.13 points better at 5,135.24 points from 5,135.11 points.

Change for year stood still at 2.58 per cent.

On the broader market, there were six price changes, all positive. Ecobank Ghana was one cedi better at 14,151 cedis, Fan Milk was also one cedi better at 19,108 cedis and SG-SSB and TOTAL Petroleum gained two cedis each at 6,334 cedis and 54,259 cedis respectively. Unilever and Guinness Ghana Breweries Limited gained one cedi each at 15,001 cedis and 9,363 cedis.

Market capitalization closed at 113,280.94 billion cedis from 113,280.22 billion cedis.
