GSE All-Share index up in active trading

Accra, March 23, GNA - The GSE All-Share index, the benchmark measure, rose by 2.23 points to close at 5,072.75, points in active trading on Friday from 5,070.53 during the previous trading. Shares that changed were 27,583,000 with CAL Bank Ghana Limited selling 26,892,500 out of them. Cal sold 1,954,300 during Thursday trading. Guinness Ghana Breweries Limited also sold 635,000 shares. Change for the year inched up at 1.33 per cent.

On the broader market, four banks enjoyed positive price changes. Cal Bank led the pack with 75 cedis gain to close at 2,275 cedis; Ghana Commercial Bank was richer by seven cedis at 6,150 cedis; with Standard Chartered Bank going up by five cedis to close trading at 168,015 cedis while SG-SSB had two cedis upward adjustment at 6,302 cedis.

Market capitalization closed higher at 112,896.95 billion cedis from 112,883.64 billion cedis on Thursday.
