Kasapa donates to KAIPTC

Accra, March 16, GNA - Kasapa Telecommunication Limited on Friday presented 80 homework phones worth 100 million cedis and top-up cards worth 10 million cedis to the Kofi Annan International Peacekeeping Training Centre (KAIPTC) in Accra for effective communication in the sub-region.

Mr Benji Akushie, Sales Manager of Kasapa, said an institution such as KAIPTC must be given the necessary help it needed because of the vital duties and responsibilities it offered in enhancing peace in the sub-region.

He said without these institutions it would be difficult for society to live in peace to carry out its duties and activities more effectively.

"Without peace, we cannot even use our mobile phones to talk and carry on with our work," he added.

Commodore Albert Anderson, Deputy Commandant of the Training Centre, said he was happy that a Ghanaian Company had involved itself in the welfare of the centre.

He said Ghanaians should not depend on external donors for help all the time.

Commandant Anderson urged Ghanaians to involve themselves in the administration of the KAIPTC and follow the steps that Kasapa had taken.
