Masquerades/school children join jubilee float

Takoradi, March 8, GNA - A float for masquerades and school children in the Shama Ahanta East Metropolis was organized by the Western Regional Coordinating Council on Monday as a prelude to the Ghana at 50 celebrations.

In attendance were several masquerades groups, school children, traders and other onlookers.

The float, which started from the Takoradi Public Works Departments (PWD), went through some streets of Takoradi amidst singing, dancing and waving of flags and other paraphernalia of the 50th anniversary. Madam Nancy Dzah, a Director of the RCC, said there was the need for everyone to join in the jubilee celebrations irrespective of cultural and educational background.

She urged all Ghanaians not to allow the jubilee celebrations to pass without participating fully in it.
