Ghana-Nigeria energy deal blasted

The Nigerian Vanguard newspaper has blasted the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for the energy deal struck between Ghana and Nigeria:

"Even the promise of 4,000 MW of electricity supply from four new gas turbine stations in Geregu, Papalanto, Omoku and Omotosho, remains a huge joke as the entire money-guzzling project remains shrouded in deceit. The total generation capacity available today is put at 1,200 MW. This is hardly enough to keep the country going, yet President Obasanjo plans to export 80 MW to Ghana. " -said the paper
