GSE All-Share Index continues slow rise

Accra, Jan. 26, GNA - The GSE All-Share Index, the benchmark index of the Accra bourse, continued its slow rise with another barest minimum gain on Friday. The Index went up by 0.01 points to 5,010.27 points on the strength of two price changes, a one cedi gain each by Enterprise Insurance Company (EIC) and Aluworks (ALW). Total shares traded slumped to 137,900 from a whooping 1,213,400 shares on Thursday. Change for the year to date was 0.09 per cent. On the broader market, ALW gained one cedi at 7,253 cedis while EIC was one cedi better at 8,824 cedis. Market capitalization closed higher at 112,521.73 billion cedis from 112,521.66 billion cedis on Thursday.
