Alhaji Baryeh urges Muslims to be responsible and law-abiding

Kumasi, Dec. 31, GNA - Alhaji Ibrahim Baryeh, Ashanti Regional Chairman of Ghana Muslim Mission has called on Muslims to be responsible and law-abiding. He asked them to forget and forgive those who had offended them and forge ahead in unity to support achievements made by the Government towards socio-economic development.

Alhaji Baryeh who was speaking to the Ghana News Agency (GNA) before an open air congregational prayers to mark Eid-Ul-Adha, feast of sacrifice in Kumasi at the weekend stressed the need for Muslims to lead upright lives worthy of emulation. He stressed on the importance of education as a tool for development and urged adherents of Islam to enrol their children especially girls in school and ensured they remained in school. With regard to the failure of some Muslims to embark on the Pilgrimage to Mecca this year, Alhaji Baryeh said that was the will of God and prayed that such unfortunate incident did not occur in future.
